VOLUNTARY ACTIVITY IN MOBILE SPECIMEN COLLECTION

Dear Student,

Because the daily number of specimen collection from individuals exhibiting the symptoms of the COVID-19 virus has exceeded 8000, placing an enormous burden on the National Ambulance Service, we are asking for your help.

We are seeking 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th year volunteers having a good command of the Hungarian language, holding a valid driver’s license and having at least two years of driving experience who would be willing to partake in specimen collection.

The training necessary for specimen collection is carried out by the regional divisions of the National Ambulance Service; the vehicles needed are provided by the National Police Headquarters. Participants will be informed by the National Emergency Service as to the routes to take and the order of addresses to be visited. Depending on the location of the addresses, accommodation and meals are provided free of charge by the Operational Corps Responsible for the Containment of the Coronavirus Epidemic.

Participation in specimen collection begins on October 29, 2020.

Compensation: 5000 HUF daily.

Working hours: 8 or 12 hour (daytime) service daily from Monday to Friday in a weekly rotation.

Tasks: Specimen collection independently with a self-driven vehicle in protective wear using a specimen collection kit; storing the specimen in a coolbox after collection, delivery of specimen to the center; disinfection of tools and equipment.

VOLUNTARY ACTIVITY AT CONTAINER TESTING POINTS

Dear Student,

In order to increase PCR testing capacity, the health care sector is planning to set up container testing points, at which volunteers amongst 6th year students are welcome.

We invite the application of those 6th year students who have a good command of the Hungarian language and would participate in collecting specimen at these testing points.

VOLUNTARY ACTIVITY IN DIRECT COVID PATIENT CARE

Dear Student,

The current wave of the coronavirus pandemic shows an upward tendency. The staff of the University of Szeged and the Albert Szent-Györgyi Clinical Center are giving their all to support the provision of healthcare overburdened by the coronavirus, so we are also asking for your help.

We are seeking 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th year volunteers who have a good command of the Hungarian language and would be willing to partake directly in COVD-19 patient care.

Venue: Clinics of the Albert Szent-Györgyi Clincal Center, Szeged

Tasks: Might involve a wide range of activities: administrative, assistant nursing, medic tasks.

Your voluntary efforts will naturally be academically rewarded; your absences due to your voluntary work will be accepted.
