Quality Policy Statement

The Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical School at the University of Szeged (SZTE SZAOK) is an outstanding institution of medical education in the Southern Great Plain region of Hungary, providing students with the education that serves as the foundation for a successful medical career.

In line with the mission statement, the heads of the departments belonging to SZTE SZAOK declare their commitment to a modern management approach.

This method includes the preservation of the triad of education-research-patient care, thus ensuring the continuous development of these areas and their regulated management to the satisfaction of the participants.

The main objectives of management:

1. to maintain national and international excellence in medical education and continuing education, and in theoretical and clinical research

2. to provide opportunities for the professional development of the staff

To achieve the above, the Faculty's management considers it important to:

1. employ staff with outstanding professional skills;

2. encourage training and continuing education;

3. recognise quality work;

4. make optimal use of resources;

5. operate a modern information system.

By declaring the quality policy of the Medical School, the management of the SZTE SZAOK declare their responsibility and intention to establish and maintain their own certified, modern quality management system and to continuously evaluate and improve the results achieved. In addition, the conditions of operation shall be ensured in accordance with the national higher education laws and other legal provisions in force at any given time, the requirements of the Hungarian Accreditation Committee and the guidelines of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation on quality assurance in higher education, taking into account the European standards for quality assurance in higher education.

The management of the SZTE SZAOK ensure an institution-wide recognition of the fact that quality performance is a key to the success of the institution and the individual success of its staff.
