Nursing Practice - Faculty of Dentistry

Students having begun their studies in or after the academic year 2012/2013 do not have to pay a fee if they carry out their summer practice at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Szeged.

Students having begun their studies before the academic year 2012/2013 have to pay a 500 USD fee for the nursing practice if they are carrying out their practice at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Szeged.

It is recommended to pay using Neptun. Once your outstanding debts appear on Neptun (log into Neptun, go to ‘Finances’, then ‘Payment’), you can make your payments using your credit/debit card there, or using a credit/debit card at the Hallgatói Szolgáltató Iroda located at 6722 Szeged, Ady tér 10. (in the University library). Other payment methods are available; please check the main 'Summer practices' section.

NURSING PRACTICE

(Summer practice)

2016/2017, 2^nd semester, 1^st year, Dental students

Course organizer: Dr. Csaba Berkovits assistant professor

Place: Faculty of Dentistry, Emergency Ambulance

Students may perform the emergency ambulance practice out of the University at a dental emergency ambulance. In this case they have to submit an acceptance letter from the head of the chosen surgery. Students have to submit a certificate about the practice, containing a short evaluation.

Time: 2 x 35 hours (dental emergency ambulance) in July according to the group arrangement.

1./ Participation, based on the Academic Regulation of the Faculty of Dentistry University of Szeged.

Detailed description of the practice requirements:

Getting to know the work of the Emergency Ambulance:

-Observing the administrative tasks in connection with patient examination.

(assignments, computerized patient admission, ambulance diary, patient records)

-Procedure and practice of making a diagnosis

-Getting to know and practicing the duties related to patient examination.

-Observing the examination of X-ray results, and diagnosis making.

-Getting to know the procedure of patients referral to certain departments.
