The focus of our research lies on the design and development of artificial systems able to mimic or interfere with biological processes. These biomimetic systems help us understand underlying molecular mechanisms or can be exploited in the treatment of diseases. Our multidisciplinary research covers a wide range of areas such as chemical synthesis, molecular and structural biology, biophysics and biochemistry.
