The Cadaver Operating Theatre (Ilona Banga Health Sciences Education Center, H-6720 Szőkefalvi Nagy Béla utca 6.) is a newly established organizational unit within the Skills Centre. It provides a uniquely effective environment for practicing complex surgical procedures and developing innovative surgical techniques. As Unit ‘C’ of the Skills Center, its primary focus is on supporting the professional development of general surgeons, trauma- and orthopaedic surgeons, vascular surgeons, and oral and maxilla-facial surgery, trainees, residents and specialists alike. The safe environment complies with the highest international standards. The operating rooms are equipped with a central air conditioning system, separate from the individual ventilation systems of the operating tables; Theatre 1 features six operating tables, while the connected Theatre 2 has two tables. Training sessions are supported by medical imaging equipments (C-arm, ultrasound device), audio-visual facilities and adjacent seminar room accommodating up to 50 participants. Black-and-white changing rooms and various auxiliary instruments and infrastructural supports are also available.
