Participation in the 10th Congress of the Hungarian Resuscitation Society
Staff members of the Skills Center (Dr. Annamária Sarusi, Anita Ábrahám-Schliz, Orsolya Tandi) and its demonstrators (Dóra Lengyel, Kata Hodos, Eszter Bittó, Panna Grosz, Kristóf Pál Péntek, Balázs Kosztrics, Hunor Rácz) represented our Center at the professional congress entitled “Resuscitation 2026”, held in Esztergom between 26–28 February 2026.
As the participants representing the Center are themselves actively involved in organizing and teaching basic and/or advanced resuscitation training programs (BLS and/or ALS) for high school students, university students, and faculty staff, the event provided an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest professional resuscitation guidelines and educational methods, as well as to exchange experiences. Among the key topics of the congress were the national implementation of the new European resuscitation guidelines, issues related to basic and advanced life support, and innovations appearing in education.
The event also celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Hungarian Resuscitation Society, within the framework of which both professional and community programs were organized. Participation provided an opportunity for the staff and demonstrators of the Skills Center to gain up-to-date knowledge and establish new professional connections.
Educational Methodology Training at the Clinical Skills Centre
With the collaboration of the staff of the Skill Laboratory of the Békés County Central Hospital, an educational methodology training course accredited by OFTEX was organized at our Center for the second time, on February 2–3, 2026.
The training was attended by colleagues specializing in anesthesiology, cardiology, hematology, pediatrics, surgery, pediatric surgery, orthopedics, radiology, and neurology. The lead instructors were Dr. Árpád Solti (Skills Lab of Békés County Central Hospital) and Dr. Annamária Sarusi (Institute of Anesthesilology and Intensive Care).
Participants were introduced to simulation-based (experience-based and practice-oriented) educational methodologies, deepened their methodological knowledge in teaching non-technical skills, and expanded their competencies in the role of instructor.
Our Center is planning to organize further accredited educational methodology training courses for physicians and healthcare professionals. For further information, please contact: szeged.skills@szte.hu.

As part of the highly successful Researchers’ Night program series, the Skills Centre welcomed visitors this year at six stations, operated by its Unit A and B.
On September 26, 2025, between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, a total of 116 enthusiastic participants had the opportunity to take a glimpse into the world of emergency care and ultrasound diagnostics, as well as the day-to-day work of anaesthesiologists, paediatricians, and internal medicine specialists.
Thanks to our simulators, visitors were immersed in a world where practice and skills development take centre stage — offering not only playful learning experiences but also the chance to acquire and refine the essential skills required in the medical profession.
Participants could choose from the following interactive sessions:
Presentation of Simulation Tools – The Fascinating World of Fetal Life
Dr. Mária Jankó
(Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology)
Presentation of Simulation Tools – How Anaesthesiologists Prepare You for Surgery
Dr. Barbara Nóra Kovács, Dr. Olivér Kovács, Dr. Bálint Magyar, Dr. Bea Sulyok-Elier, Dr. Kristóf Dani, Dr. Klára Makai
(Institute of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy)
Presentation of Simulation Tools – How Are Medical Students Trained to Handle the Unexpected?
Dr. Annamária Sarusi
(Institute of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy)
Presentation of Simulation Tools – From the Scene to the Hospital: Emergency Care in the Ambulance
Ervin Varga
(National Ambulance Service)
Presentation of Simulation Tools – Secrets of the Digestive System
Dr. Zsófia Bősze
(Department of Internal Medicine)
Presentation of Simulation Tools – How to Save Children: A Hands-On Learning Room
Dr. Péter Gál, Dr. Júlia Bándoli
(Department of Paediatrics and Centre for Child Health)
This event could not have been possible without our excellent educators — we would like to thank them sincerely for their invaluable contributions!
Special thanks from the Skills Centre to our supportive colleagues:
Division A: Orsolya Tandi, Gergő Szabó
Division B: Anita Ábrahám-Schliz, János Kiss
Many attendees expressed their enthusiasm and eagerness to return — and so are we!
We look forward to welcoming everyone again at Researchers’ Night 2026!

Very nice visitor feedback following a group visit to Skills Centre:
'I would say this about the experience: walking towards the Arad Martyrs'
Square, the students said: this was worth more than all the university
open days combined. Thank you very much for your work.

“Responsibility in Quality” professional visit to the Univerisity of Szeged Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical School Skills Centre and visit to the Biobank of Univerisity of Szeged
2024.11.07.
It was the 8th company visit organized by the association during the year. Zoltán Fábián, Deputy Director for Quality of SFF SMI, welcomed the group and provided some very important information about the university: 24,000 students, 20% of whom are from 126 foreign countries, 2,800 teaching and research staff, 12 faculties, 19 doctoral schools, 200 industrial collaborations, 137 international projects.
The speaker then presented the Integrated Management System of Univerisity of Szeged, which covers a network of numerous and diverse activities within the institution.
The visit continued with a visit to the Skills Center (building tour, viewing of skill labs), during which Anita Abraham-Schliz gave a detailed and knowledgeable description of the visited Ambulance Simulator, the cardiology, mammography, ultrasound and obstetrics educational test labs.
The presentation of the Skills Center was given the maximum score by all participants who completed the satisfaction questionnaire, both in terms of content and topicality.
Joint project of the four medical simulation centers of the Visegrad countries has been completed:
“V4 Network of Medical Simulation Centres: Building Good Practices”
The project was led by Lazarski University in Warsaw, in partnership with Masaryk University in the Czech Republic, the University of Szeged, and Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. The aim of the project was to promote medical simulation training and collaboration in the V4 region, as well as to introduce the region as a valuable international partner in the growing global medical simulation industry.
At the end of the project, a joint publication titled ‘V4 Medical Simulation Centers Best Practices’ was released, which is available at the following link:
